Many adults use social medias such as Facebook, Twitter, Texting, Instagram, Pintrest, and YouTube to express to the world what we think is funny or informative. Some of us use these social medias to post pictures whether it's appropriate for viewing or not. It's all on our perspective of how much it was worth sharing to the world.
Today at Loop, a service provided by LifeChurch.tv for fifth and sixth graders, our topic was Instagram. For the last three weeks we spoke about using Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and even texting for the right reasons and more so to share God's love. Research shows that teenagers use Instagram more often than Facebook or any other medias. The saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words" is so true even for today's teenagers. It is almost close to seeing through the eyes of the person taking the picture.
During the close of today's sermon, I had the opportunity to portray the love of Jesus through my words while my beautifully pregnant wife Amy was sharing her love for Jesus through visual art. Instagram This was the title. We can share various things through pictures, in fact we do the same though our lives because people can view our actions like they view a picture. What does your Instagram say about your life? What do your actions say about your life? We ought to portray Jesus through our lives. Isn't JESUS worth sharing to the world?
It was amazing to see the young boys and girls soak up the message and then make a decision from this day forward to allow God to use their lives, images, and talents for His glory.
